Morning meditation
is each breath different
is each moment the same
is each conversation a communication
with a smile of the mind we can’t contain


what is real in a house of mirrors
what is the true authenticity
can we remove the mask behind the mask
where the soul inside is seen


is each breath different
is each moment the same
what are we designed to deal with
can we get past the limitations we face


are we watercolor dreams
that paint a picture still undefined
or an abstract image of a thought form
that dances with a subtlety confined
by laws of existence
that reflect our state of mind


we are all different
yet we are the same
in the darkness of sleep
we can’t hold on to
what we feel or keep


in the light
we can see
these life forms
with a souls identity


each breath is different
is each moment the same
all a part of puzzle
of this strange life game
